We went to the US as a family for the first time in like five years! The occasion: taking the oldest kids to college! How unbelievably heartbreaking (for me) and exciting (for them). I want to take a moment to thank everyone who helped us with this trip. We blew just about every cent in our “Long Journey” (personal) fund to get the kids settled, and in literally the last hour, a donor pitched in to help Makenna with her first term. This was a miracle, a real answer to prayer. Now the kids are settled, and Jen, Declan and I are back in Uganda. Thank you again to all those who supported us through this very tough transition.
