We got a call late Saturday night that a visiting team was in need of accommodation. It turned out that the guesthouse where they were staying had a .. problem related to .. small biting insects and .. worms .. and rashes. Oh, and fungus. That’s about as politely as I can say it. Needless to say, they needed somewhere to stay. Jen and I scrambled to get the rooms ready and just as the dust from whirlwind of preparation settled, Tessa, Lauren, Claudia, Eric and Andrew from Madison, WI arrived. They are working with an organization called “Tawi“.

It was a busy couple of days, and even though it was only five guests, we dedicate ourselves to helping our guests in any way we can so things shut down while we have guests as we focus on them. It’s a lot of work, but very rewarding, especially when our guests leave better than we found them. In this case, it was easy considering our complete and utter lack of bedbugs, bedworms and bedfungus.

We look forward to serving our friends from Tawi again soon!
