After a successful graduation, we had some time left on our hands to prepare for the year 2023. As a team, we decided to invite in students in their school holidays to come and learn computer skills.
We invited these students because we do understand that most of the students attending local schools do not get quality computer education since teachers trained to teach computers are very few at the moment and most schools do not take computer to be a prime subject of study.
We are currently having 50 students and most of them are in their primary seven and senior four vacation.
All students are really excited about the opportunity availed to them because for the biggest population, it is their first time to interact with a computer. Their excitement and commitment is evidenced by how early they come such that they can secure a working laptop at the centre.
