Since orange is an Apple provider here in Uganda, there’s been a huge influx of iPhones and iPads into the country. Tourists have been bringing them for a while now, but upper class Ugandans (politicians, government officials, pastors(!)) are now buying them in-country.

We’ve always been the only place in town for Apple service, but now our friends at Orange are actually referring customers to us for service, support and unlocks.

Last week was exceptionally nuts. I never imagined I’d take a photo like this in Uganda.

The irony though is super-thick. This is still one of the poorest places on the planet but the gap between the rich and the poor is massive. Fortunately a lot of this gear belongs to volunteers coming over to help and I have to remind myself that their photos, blogs and comms are pretty important to their donors.
